Membership benefits
To recognise the contribution 874 Founders Club members have made to the launch of our distillery, we’ll etch their names into our tasting table. A permanent thank you to those who joined us at the start of our journey.
Welcome Pack
Once your order is confirmed we’ll send your confirmation of ownership and membership card. Your copper membership card entitles you to free tours for life. We believe whisky is for sharing, so you can bring a friend for free too.
Whisky Journey Pack
We’ll send you a display stave to mark the start of your whisky journey. The stave is made of virgin oak to represent the beginning of your casks journey and comes with vials of barley, yeast and water so it reflects the end to end process that will deliver your final whisky. Adding one of your cask samples to the display slots each year will build a wonderful picture of your whisky’s journey.
Launch Pack
We’ll send you a 200ml bottle of new make spirit straight from the stills once we start production so you can get a preview of the flavours to come. This pack also includes everything you need to enjoy your first taste - a branded glass, coaster and water dropper. Not forgetting the first sample bottle to add to your stave.

The fun stuff
Choose which size of cask you would like to own, read all the benefits of being a member of the 874 Founders Club and place your order via our partners Whisky Hammer.
The important stuff
Make sure you’ve read the paperwork - you must agree to the T's & C's when you submit your order. Once your order is placed and payment made via Whisky Hammer we’ll send you your cask order confirmation. This re-confirms your chosen cask size, wood type/seasoning and details for the distillery tasting table.
The journey begins
We fill your cask and the waiting begins. Maturing in our coastal warehouse in John O’Groats we’ll only release it when it’s ready - we expect around 5-6 years. Influenced by the local climate & sea air, we know it’ll be worth the wait.
The sampling & visiting
Every year we’ll send you 2 samples from your cask with tasting notes from John. One to taste and one to add to your display stave. With free tours for life for members you can visit your cask as part of any tour.
The bottling
The waiting is over and the real fun begins when your cask of whisky is ready to be bottled. You’ll have the option to personalise your label before we send the bottles out to you. If you prefer you can come and collect it personally, we’d love to meet you.
